The owner and staff, especially Andres, were very helpful and knowledgeable. The Chaparrastique room I stayed in was spacious and had a private bathroom. The kitchen was well-stocked and the guests I met were friendly. The hostel was conveniently located near Parque Cuscatlan, perfect for starting free walking tours. I had a great experience at this hostel.

The hot water showers were also a plus. it was a great place to stay for budget backpackers with all the necessary amenities.

The Hostal Cumbres Del Volcan Flor Blanca was a beautifully done up house with an interesting history. The Art Deco feel and well-complemented furniture added to the charm. The staff were excellent, and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment. The owner, Malcolm Collins, was very helpful and provided valuable information about safety in the city.

For us, the location was not ideal for shops. But that's hardly the fault of the property!
